SCHRAMM, Orvalle

December 24, 1929 – May 16, 2018

The family of Orvalle Schramm are sad to announce his passing. He was born in a sleigh pulled by a team of horses on the way home from a church function on Christmas Eve 1929. He was the 2nd child of Jacob and Katie Schramm.  Irene, Orvalle, Gordon, Ruth, Bernice and Valma. He is survived by his 2 sons (one good and one bad), Daryl (Carol), Brent (Irene); grandchildren; Sherri (John), Brennen (Ashley), Dana (and their mother Carmen), Alyssa and Shane; great grandchildren; Colby, Taylor, Riley, Lyndon, Addyson and Brexley. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Lutheran Home for going above and beyond with the care, kindness and laughter you shared with Dad over this last year. Although he made a grand entrance into the world, he was a kind, loving thoughtful gentleman who didn't like to bother anyone. He worked hard all his life, and took pride in all he did, especially farming. At Dad's request no funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Glenavon Cemetery next to his loving wife MaryAnn. All welcome to attend. Lunch to follow at the United Church in Glenavon. P.S. Dad, I got the chocolate rabbit, and Mom, we got all the dimes!!
