ERMEL, Erna M. (nee Fritz)

July 14, 1925 - May 3, 2018

Erna passed away peacefully at Pasqua Hospital at the age of 92. Erna will be lovingly remembered by her son Dale (Cheryl); granddaughters Sinda (Iliana) Cathcart, Arlis (Bill) Letang and Erin Ferguson; brother Ken (Wilma) Fritz; sisters-in-law Lorraine Franke, Linda Fritz; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also survived by in-laws: Gerald (Lucille) Ermel, Linda (Jim) Adams, Elmer Ermel, Walter (Helen) Ermel, Ann Ermel, Phillip (Carol) Ermel, Eleanor (Ed) Lipinski and Irene Ermel. She is predeceased by her husband Rudy;  parents Jacob and Elizabeth Fritz;  brothers Albert (Margaret), Walter, Donald, George, Frank, William; sisters Helen (Richard Schultz), Leona (Carl Fiege), Irene (Herb Kemp); In-laws Henry (Verona) Ermel, John Ermel, William Ermel, Reinhold Ermel, Mary(Harry) Schwartz, Minnie and Wilfred Posehn and Ruth Ermel. Mom had a strong Christian faith. She was born on a farm near Cupar, SK. She met and married Rudy Ermel and farmed in the area until 2000 when they retired and moved to Regina. She was an avid gardener, great cook, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing. Mom really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was also a fan of softball and baseball, cheering for Dale at all of his games and for the Toronto Blue Jays. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 935 N. McCarthy Blvd, Regina, SK with Pastor Daryl Solie officiating.
