Obituary of Shirley Marie Gordon

GORDON, Shirley Marie

March 27, 1943 – April 17, 2018

Shirley passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 75 years with her family by her side. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Mac; son Trevor (Angela); daughter Tracy (Jeff); grandchildren Aiden, Grace and Ewan Elliott, Jackson and Aspen Gordon; brother Marvin Reiser (Helen); sister in law Joyce Reiser; brother in law Roy Gordon (Colleen); sisters in law Martha Gordon and Helene Gordon as well as numerous special nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Tony and Isabel (nee Gerrish) Reiser; sister Marion Lafrentz; brother Lloyd; brothers in law Carl Lafrentz, Herb Gordon and John Gordon. Shirley was a long time member of Broadway United Church. She enjoyed volunteering for numerous programs including the Grey Cup, Canada Games, Scotties and the Brier. Shirley enjoyed all sports including curling, The Riders as well as gardening, gym time and coffee time spent with friends. She loved going to Minot for shopping, trips to Mexico, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Disney World with the grandchildren. Her most cherished time was time spent with her grandchildren. Mom was famous for her potato salad. She was an amazing cook and baker. Shirley has been one of God’s special people – kind, positive and caring. She would open her home to everyone. Her laugh was infectious and she will be deeply missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating.
