Obituary of Olga MacCorquodale
MacCorquodale, Olga
In Loving Memory Olga passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018, at the age of 97 years.
Olga was one of six children born to the late Julianna and Frederich Jaster. She was predeceased by her husband James, brothers Edmund and William, two siblings in infancy, and step-father Julius Jahnke.
Olga will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her children Carol Morris, Graham (Judy), Donna Matheson (Jim) and Craig (Beverley); grandchildren Carmen (Derek), Andrew (Chantel), Shelley, Tanya (Shawn), Ryan (Tanya), Dallas, Elizabeth, Tracey, Emma, Katrina (Ryan); great-grandchildren Jayna & Joshua, Bailey & Dylan, Porcsha, Jeremy, Kane & Payton; Faith Vachon and family; brother Bing Jaster and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Olga was born and raised in Yellow Grass and after school moved to Regina and then to Swift Current where she worked at the Safeway meat counter. She met her husband who was stationed with the Royal Air Force for support training. They were married in Yellow Grass on October 23, 1943 and settled in Regina after the war.
Olga continued working for Safeway moving from one store to the next and finally retiring at age 65. She loved to dance, sew, play darts, cards, bingo and shuffleboad. She liked to look good and took pride in her clothes, hair and make-up.
Most of all, Olga was a devoted mom, grandma and great grandma. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and wonderful humour. Her love of family carried through to the end, and she will be missed dearly.
In Loving Memory
Olga MacCorquodale
