RODGER PICHETTE

1946 - 2018

Rodger passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 7, 2018. Rodger was born in Regina and continued to make the prairies his home for 71 years with his devoted wife Annette of 49 years, raising their two beautiful children Tiffany and Michael. Rodger put his blood, sweat and tears into Pichette Transport where he worked driving truck, hauling gravel and doing snow removal for 55 years. His dedication to building this legacy was passed down from his father and mother, Elmer and Irene. Anyone who had the pleasure of having Rodger in their life can attest that he had many stories to share over his years. He had an outstanding ability to recall any detail of any year at any time, which made his stories thoroughly entertaining. His selflessness shined brightly every day, as he put everyone else’s needs before his own and never stopped smiling - I will say his smile was slightly bigger in his classic Canadian Tuxedo after a few Rye and cokes with some Elvis in the background. As a Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa and Friend - none of us will forget the way Rodger made us feel. His positive energy and loving soul will continue to radiate forever. . . Something that strong is timeless. There are no words to express how much he will be missed. Thank you for every single moment you gave us. We love you.  Wife - Annette, Daughter - Tiffany (Darren), Son – Mike and Granddaughter - Keera aka Babe and Granddogger Stella, Sister – Maureen (Keith), Nephew – Vern (Trevor), Niece – Nikki (Bob) and numerous extended family and friends. Predeceased: Father – Elmer, Mother – Irene, Sister in law – Jackie and furry sidekick – Austin. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
