Thelma Vivian Johnson

August 26, 1927 – March 28, 2018

Thelma passed away peacefully at the age of 90.  Thelma is survived by sons, Howard (Diane) of North Bend, B.C., Richard (Lorraine) of Prince George, B.C., Gordon (Mavis) of Regina, SK; daughter Shirley (Dan) of Yellowknife, NT and brother Don (Irene) of Calgary, AB, as well as 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Thelma was predeceased by husband Leonard; parents Russell and Rachel; brother Henry; sister Pat; sister-in-law Ruth; brother-in-law Bill; daughter-in-law Muriel; great grandchildren, Kael, Cole and Emily; great great granddaughter, Kiara. Thelma married Len in 1946 raising their family in Regina and also on an acreage near Jameson, SK. Thelma loved her time on the farm raising everything from chickens, ducks and turkeys to exotic rabbits and guinea fowl. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, horses and Siamese cats. She loved to sing and always had a song in her heart. Thelma will be remembered for her strength of faith and character. The family sincerely thanks the staff at Sunset Extendicare for their care of Thelma during the last 4 ½ years. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Glen Elm Church of Christ, 1825 Rothwell Street, Regina, SK with a reception to follow.  Interment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens.
