Marjorie Jean Syrota

August 2, 1940 – January 31, 2018

Jean passed away peacefully after a brief struggle with her health, surrounded by her entire loving family. Jean’s memory will be cherished by her husband of 54 years, Albert; children: Sandy (Allen) Mullen and family Jordan, Gina and Derek; David (Tricia) and family Shayla, Danielle and Brandon; Leslie (Shad) Switzer and family Jasmine, Avery and Summer; siblings Lowes (Jack) Oakley and Betty Jerome; brothers and sisters in law Anne Syrota, Hank (Carole) Syrota, Russell Syrota, Stanley Syrota, Sonia Danyluk, Jake (Catherine) Syrota and Bev Baragar as well as many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Jim and Elsie Baragar; siblings Richard, Lee, Bob, Herbie, Fay and Carole. Jean always placed her family first and touched everyone she knew. She was a kind and generous lady who will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Prayers will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at St. Athanasius Ukranian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Ave., Regina SK. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church with Fr. Basil Malowany as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, 1231 8 St. E., Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
