Obituary of Peter Chernoff
Peter Chernoff
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing away of Peter Chernoff on December 30, 2017 at the age of 68. Peter was born on June 9th, 1949 to the late Mike and Mollie Chernoff in Wadena, SK. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Chernoff (Broshko) just 4 short months ago. He will be remembered by his daughter Lisa, brothers John (Gina), Stan (Mel), Sam (Lori) and sister Pat, as well as numerous relatives and friends. From a young age, Peter had a love for music that was evident through his immediate family. He enjoyed playing in the family band and carried his passion for music throughout his adult life. Playing his guitar on Christmas Eve while hosting family for dinner was something he looked forward to annually. Along with his love for betting 8 in Kaiser, Peter enjoyed adding extra garlic while cooking with Gloria and giving their perogies a final pinch. He loved being around people and visiting about the weather and various events on the news. Peter enjoyed working with and meeting new people throughout his career at Lakeside Chrysler, Leader Post and retiring from the Sherwood Co-op Market Place in 2013. Special heart-felt thanks to the outstanding staff at the Regina Pasqua Hospital ICU and Palliative Care for your kindness, compassion and genuine care for Peter throughout his short stay with you. Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina, SK officiated by Father Andrei Kachur. Donations may be made to the St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church as special item for the church will be purchased in memory of Peter and Gloria as that was their wish.
