With GREAT sadness the family announces that their Mom -RoseMarie passed away and went to our Lord and Creator at the age of 88.  RoseMarie was predeceased by her husband August in 1995, and baby boy in 1956, and foster son Dennis. By her parents John and Catherine Ahdemar and by her brothers and sisters:  John, George, Mary, Theresa, Bernice, Helen, Art, Charlie, Bill.  Mom will be dearly missed and is survived by her children Wayne, Don, Bev (Dennis), Dave, Gord, Marilyn, Andrew (Shannon), Vinnie (Gail), Donna (Wayne), foster son Tom, special daughter-in-law Denise, also her grandchildren Tracy, Lee-Ann, Meghan, Joedine, Jeremy, Toni, Jill, Adam, Kaylin, Mitchell, Madison, great grandchildren Legacy, LaKota, Dustin, Daylin, Dallas Jr., Lexxie,  Bryanna, Jayden, Brayden and great-great grandson Axton. Also many, many nieces and nephews.
Mom was a wonderful mother and gramma. Loved us all equally................ hmmmm, although she only ever made bannock for Wayne! Besides being a great wife and mom, she had various jobs through the years. Mom worked at the Lebret Metis Farm, Plains Hotel Regina, Mutchmoor Lodge, cleaned RBC bank. Mom & Dad were married in 1948, lived on Lebret Metis Farm until the early 70’s. They then moved to Cutbank SK, lived there until moving to Regina.  Mom was a devout Catholic and while still mobile, hopped the bus and went to church several times a week. After Mass she loved to go for tea and sit and write newsy letters to friends and relatives. Mom also enjoyed writing out her Christmas cards and tried to include some news in each one. Mom would often reminisce about the camping trips that her & Dad would take. They would load up the grandkids and off they would go! Mom also loved going to the “acreage” in Lebret and sit by the fire and eat hotdogs and just be with family there. When heading back to Regina she would often ask to go thru Standing Buffalo and she would point out where she grew up and talk of walking with her Mom and her sister “Dolly” to Bah-Say-Tah for groceries. She also enjoyed yearly camping trips to Outlook so that she could watch four of her sons play in the Men’s Open Golf Tourney. Mom also enjoyed watching the Rider games on TV.  In the summer of 2014 Mom was honoured with a very moving traditional ceremony and given her Indian name of “Soaring Eagle Woman”. When Mom was no longer mobile, she was settled into Echo Lodge Care Home in Fort Qu’Appelle.
Prayers will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lebret, SK with Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church with Fr. Louis Nguyen as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Regina, SK.
The family would like to thank the staff at Echo Lodge for the care they gave to Mom. To Cheryl Solvey for keeping Mom beautiful.  Also the Dr’s and nurses at All Nations Healing Hospital Fort Qu’Appelle for their care.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Canadian Diabetic Society or CNIB.
