After completing her post-secondary education, Ana married Ioan Petrescu, and they moved to Bucharest, where they both worked as teachers until retirement. After that, they came to Canada to join their daughter and her family.
Ana was a wonderful, devoted wife to her husband and, a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was also much beloved Tante Angelica (aunt) to her extended family in Romania, as well as a great friend.
Ana was a beloved member of her community, known for an unwavering dedication to her family and her kindness to others. She was caring and compassionate, nurturing a beautiful, special relationship with her granddaughters, who she cherished dearly. Ana was modest, graceful, and wise. Her home was a place of warmth, love, and comfort. Ana was a woman of faith and a valued member of her church community.
Ana’s culinary skills were unmatched, and she delighted everybody with her wonderful food, prepared with love and care.
Although she had challenges with her health throughout the years, she always put others before herself, and supported and cared for them.
Ana was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. She especially was continuously trying to improve her knowledge of the English language, consulting her dictionary, or calling her daughter with questions about translation.
Ana loved classical music, watched concerts on TV, and her radio was always tuned to classical music stations. She had a special talent for crocheting, creating beautiful doilies that adorned many homes. Ana loved her flowers on her balcony and she was looking forward to adding new flowers every year.
We will miss her dearly and will keep her forever in our hearts .
