Obituary of Andrew Matthew Blacksioux

Andrew was born on September 30, 1986, and passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta. He joins his grandparents, Louis and Gladys Blacksioux, Lloyd Desjarlais Sr., and Elmer "Mike" George; sisters, Tristan and Cathy; and brother, Sheldon Blacksioux.

Andrews memory will be cherished by his children, Louis, Jessica, Xavier, Dresean, and Damien; partner, Victoria Shepherd; father Eugene (Maxine) Blacksioux; special auntie/mom, Millie (George) Kayseas; sisters, Niomi Blacksioux, Melanie Choken and Jennifer Blacksioux; brothers, Jamie Blacksioux and Raymond Blacksioux; grandparents May Desjarlais-George and Robert and Karen George; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and by all that knew and loved Andrew.

Wake will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Piapot Band Hall, Piapot First Nation, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Piapot Band Hall with Elders officiating. Andrew will be laid to rest at the Blacksioux Family Cemetery.
