Obituary of Alex Dakiniewich

It is with great sadness that the family of Alexander “Alex” Dakiniewich announce his passing on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the age of 82 years with his family by his side.

Alex is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth; daughters Isabel (Raymond), Isadora, and Tracy; grandchildren Ocean, Breeanna, Angel, and James; siblings Hennette, Margaret, Bernice (Eugene), Rose, Tony (Debbie), Gerard (Virginia), Anne (Sly), Pius (Vivian), Kasimer (June), Lucy (John), Emil (Dawn), and Henry (Saida); siblings-in-law Wayne, Patrick, Richard (Chris), Rosanne (Alan), Ken, Raymond, and Mervin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Alexander; mother Jean; parents-in-law Mike and Sadie; siblings Hedwig (Joe), Mary (Bill), Stella (Guy), Theresa, Josie, and Joseph; and siblings-in-law Gina, William, Jim, John, and Isaac.

A Celebration of Alex’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Regina Funeral Home, 4001 East Victoria Avenue , Regina, SK with visitation to begin at 1:00 p.m. For those not able to attend, a livestream may be viewed at https://fweb.tv/96383. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Good Shephard at Regina Memorial Gardens, with lunch to follow to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.

Flowers are graciously declined. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take a moment to hug your children, grandchildren, and friends for a moment because time waits for no one.
