Obituary of Margaret Iverson
Margaret Iverson
1934 - 2023
Mother, wife and grandmother, Margaret Iverson, passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was 88. Margaret was loved by all who knew her.
Mom loved Bible study, devotion to her beloved husband Bernie who passed away in 2018, her sons and their wives and her granddaughter, whom she loved deeply. She loved to bake, cook, spend time with family and visit with friends. Mom went out of her way to welcome her sons’ friends as part of her extended family and was affectionately known by them as ‘Mother Margaret’. Always welcoming and always kind.
The fruit of the spirit is what a Christian will be known for. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Mom exemplified all of these throughout her long and happy life. Accomplishments may be forgotten, but how Mom made others feel, her kindness and devotion to her family and friends will always be remembered with fondness.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Glen and Wayne; daughters-in-law, whom she loved as her own, Brandy and Kim; granddaughter Cali; sister Joyce (Al) Pitzul; brother Mervin Bartos; brother-in-law Frank Suranyi; as well as very much loved nieces, nephews and their families: Clarissa, Lara, Jan, Alan, Andrew, Ashley and Sarah Lee.
Margaret is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Bernie; Mom and Dad, Sam and Angeline Bartos; sister Evelyn Suranyi; sister-In-Law Ruth Bartos; and nephew Rob Suranyi.
A Private Memorial will be held for family and those close to her this summer. Mom will be missed deeply but will always be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, it would mean more to Mom to be kind to others, personally help someone in need and reconcile with those we may not have spoken with for we don’t know how many steps we have left.
In Loving Memory
Margaret Iverson
