We fondly remember Coby, for her warm smile. She and Bill asking us over for supper and a rousing game of canasta. Coby always, just had those two cards to take the pile from Bill. That would give us ladies the game. You will be sadly missed, Doug, Tammie And Jason Bessey

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Jacoba?
A: I met her in my teens. I will always remember her energy, her honesty and her kindness. She had a beautiful home and raised two wonderful children. My sincere sympathies to Donna, James and their families. May you feel our love through your grief.

Q: What will you never forget about Jacoba?
A: I believe I met this beautiful lady when I was 14, and I am going to be 62 soon. I was so fortunate to have had Donna as a friend, to have met Jim and I was invited into their home on numerous occasions to have a sleepover, as well, I had the time of my life when I was invited to go with this family to Lumsden Beach for the weekend. I will never forget these times! It made a world of difference at the time for such a lonely kid as I was. Jacoba was always kind and she would ask Donna to sleep on the floor so I could have the bed. Sorry Donna but thank you! And when Donna would try learn me to play cards, I was a hopeless case and Donna would get frustrated. Jacoba would say 'it's just a game Donna!' I however can play Fish! I now live in Prince Albert and haven't seen Jacoba in a long time but for some reason I thought of her a week or so ago. I may be 4 hours away but my heart and thoughts are very near to you Donna and Jim! Bless your family at this time and Jacoba too. Thank you for having me a part of your lives. Jacoba you have raised marvelous smart children, and you are and always will be deeply loved and cherished.

My most treasured memory of Tante Coby was the week I got to spend with her, Donna and James (A.K.A. Jimmy).
My Oma and I rode the railways; so excited on the way there, a little sadder when it was time to go home.
Tante Coby made that a very special week for me.
Also, the family road trips and there was Tante Coby leading us on with tons of fun and loads of laughter.
I wish the family healing and peace with the loss of such a Precious Jewel, she will be missed but never forgotten.
Wendy
