Obituary of Sylvia Marion Marchuk

Sylvia Marchuk passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Sylvia is lovingly cherished by her daughters Brenda (Norman), Shelly, Lori and Tammie; son Darcy; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Larry; as well as numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Nellie and Walter; sister Connie; sister-in-law Gail; and son-in-law Len; and spouse Eddie; and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.

Sylvia was born near Candiac and spent a good portion of her life in the Candiac/Glenavon area. She married Eddie Marchuk in 1954 and raised five children.

Sylvia had many hobbies, including curling, camping and fishing. She loved gardening and her yard was her pride and joy.

Sylvia’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the MSU at Pasqua Hospital for the excellent care and compassion they provided to mom.

In celebration of Sylvia’s life, a Graveside Service will take place at Glenavon Cemetery on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
