~~Ruth Anne Marie KENNEDY (nee Neuls)
Ruth Anne Marie KENNEDY (nee Neuls), 80, of Regina SK, died October 12, 2017.  “Anne Marie” passed away in Regina after a battle dealing with multiple medical conditions that arose while dealing with chronic pain caused by back injury and fibromyalgia. Anne Marie showed warrior class tenacity in trying to beat her battle and amazed us all with the grace, wit and love she showered on those she loved just prior to her passing. Anne Marie was a great Woman, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Friend born on November 1, 1936 in Melville SK, the eldest daughter of the late Guenther Herbert “Herb Sr.” Neuls, and his first wife Clara (Gares), and second wife, Ella (Schick). She was raised on a farm near Summerberry, SK.  In her teens she met her husband Vaughan at the community dance and they were married in 1954, moved into Regina and started a family.  Following her husband’s death in 1968, Anne Marie began selling radio advertising and started studies at the U. of R. to earn her B.Ed.  With five children in toll, she ran a well-oiled household where each child had daily duties, weekend chores plus an incredibly active sports and music schedule.  In the summer months the family spent much time at the extended family cottage at Crooked Lake and often travelled across Canada visiting relatives and spending time with family friends.  Anne Marie managed to find time to golf, travel on her own (or without the kids), curl, enjoy the arts and culture and actively pursue business endeavours beyond teaching grade school.  She was a dedicated member of the University of Regina’s Women’s Federation and was involved in various other clubs and organizations.  After retiring from teaching, Anne Marie spent many years nurturing her fibromyalgia with the warm and sunny weather in Mesa, AZ where she made new friends, hosted family and friends, and spent time with cousins and other lifelong friends. She will be sorely missed and is survived by siblings Herbie (Diane and family) and Kerry Neuls, Gaye (Jim Moss and family), children: David, Darrell, Tracy and Terry Kennedy, grandchildren: Darrell Jr. (Kim) and Shea Kennedy, Kayla and Angelina Kiselich and their partners Tyson and Eddie, and great-grandchildren: Brandon, Tate, Cade, Lane, Austin and sweet young Olive (b. 2017).  She was preceded in death by her husband Vaughan Romeo Kennedy (d. 1968) and youngest son Darcy Owen Kennedy (d. 2000).  All loved her dearly and will never forget her resolve, wit, charm, generosity, grace and undying love and caring for them.
