Fran passed away on August 20, 2017 at the Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. She was a loving Mother to Sandra Shannon (Jeffrey) and Carey Bailey (Daniel), “G-ma” to Ryan (Kayley), Samantha, Kelsey and Abby; great grandmother to Theo Shannon. Frances was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia to Archibald and Frances Risk. She was one of twelve wonderful children, six brothers: Joseph, Archie Jr., Art (Gayle), Eddie, Charlie and Ricky; and five sisters: Winnie, Patsy, Millie, Elizabeth and Peggy (Glen). Fran was a kind and fun loving person that enjoyed spending time at the pool with her family and friends above everything else. Fran will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. There will be a service held in Honor of Fran McDermid at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at All Saints Anglican Church, 142 Massey Rd., Regina, SK.
