JOANNE CAROL COX
January 17, 1962 – July 17, 2017
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Joanne at the age of 55 years. Joanne was born in Ontario but soon moved with her family to Regina where she lived the rest of her life. After attending Thom Collegiate, Joanne went on to work for the RCMP, most recently in the recruiting office. She was a loving mom and will also be remembered for her love of birds and animals, interest in 70s and 80s music trivia and her kind and caring spirit. She helped raise funds for cancer charities after the death of her son Nicolas, long before her own battle with cancer. Joanne is survived by her children Samantha and Adam; father Charles (Vivian); sister Thelma; brother Graham (Marlene); and nieces and nephews John, Jason, Jennifer, Sheena and Brendan (and their families). She was predeceased by her son Nicolas, mother June, brother Bryan and sister-in-law Linda. Joanne’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to friends Joan, Kathy and Terry for their thoughtful and tireless care for Joanne over the last six months. Also thank you to the staff of the William Booth Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the RCMP Chapel, 6101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK. At Joanne’s request, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
