Wayne Hugh McMillan
December 13, 1948 – May 27, 2017
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of a special man, Wayne Hugh McMillan at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his wife Jean; father Stewart; mother in law Evelyn; father in law Dugald; brother Eddie; brothers in law Doug and Gordie; sister in law Trudy. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Connie (Eldon) Bushell and their children Chase (Julie) and Sierra; son Scott (Tania) and their daughter Mikaylie and furry buddy Jazz; mother Dora; brother Ron (Diane); sister Heather (Russ); sisters in law Colleen and Eunice as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne worked for the City of Regina for 34 years. Upon retirement he took pride in driving vehicles for local dealerships with his crew “the road warriors”. Wayne will always be remembered for his love of life, his strength for his family and cherished friendships. Wayne loved to travel with his family and friends to new and old places. Dad enjoyed all the fun times at the cottage. He spent countless hours coaching and watching sporting events. Papa was so very proud of his grandchildren. A special thank you to his doctors and caregivers. A heartfelt thank you to all of our friends and family when we needed them the most. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, 110 – 1525 Carling Ave., Ottawa, Ontario K1Z 8R9.
