Obituary of Betty Raboud

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Betty Raboud It is with great sadness and broken hearts that Betty’s family announces her sudden passing on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Born Elizabeth Barbara Weismiller in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan, she is predeceased by her parents Paul and Barbara Weismiller; brothers Frank and Jack Weismiller; sisters Anna Mondor and Pauline Beauchesne. Betty is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 54 years, Maurice; their two sons, Ken and Glen, daughter-in-law, Angelika and “only grandchild, Kelsa”, as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. As the last surviving member of her beloved family, she was an inspiration in her courage and poise during times of illness and tragedy. She will be fondly remembered for her encyclopedic knowledge of people’s names, birth dates, wedding dates, family connections, maiden names and the details of long past events. Betty was always excited about upcoming holidays, celebrations or time at the lake during the summer and the opportunity to spend time with her family. She leaves her family with many wonderful memories and enough love and laughter to cherish for a lifetime. Betty was a faithful and active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish in a broad range of activities including the Catholic Women's League. She was a retiree of the CIBC where she worked for over 30 years. An avid Rider fan, she enjoyed watching and playing curling and golf. She had a love for pastries, pies and most anything sweet. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 425 Broad Street North, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
